Summary - The paper presents a comprehensive methodology for addressing fire prevention in maritime cargo space, a critical challenge in ensuring the safety and efficiency of global maritime logistics. With the increasing scale of containerized shipping and the complexity of modern supply chains, the risks associated with incidents have significant consequences, including threats to human life, environmental and economic disruptions. To mitigate these risks, the study builds upon state-of-the-art practices, regulatory frameworks and recent advancements in risk management. The focus is on setting goals to ensure safety, developing customized methods for qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, and establishing systematic risk management processes. The proposed framework includes the assessment of single and combined risks, analysis of time-sensitive factors, and development of safety management strategies using advanced technological solutions and digital tools. By incorporating stakeholders’ collaboration and iterative risk evaluation, this approach aims to enable the practical implementation of robust safety measures in port-to-port container handling scenarios.
