Summary – In pursuing the continuous improvement of its performance, Ferrotramviaria-Transport Division (FTDT), as a railway undertaking, has identified a strategic source of information to enhance the railway service both from the point of view of reliability and safety in the data present in the electronic tachograph areas (ZTE). In this regard, the Company has developed an information system for their automatic analysis, which has allowed making multiple considerations on the causes of certain events dangerous to traffic safety related to both technological aspects (identification of possible criticalities due to infrastructural characteristics and/or safety systems) and human factors (monitoring and control of cognitive functions of attention and conscious vigilance during driving of conductors).
