Analysis of project variables in the process of optimising the mobility-economy-environment trinomial: the acoustic impact in the railway case

Summary - A public investment in the mobility network sector requires the evaluation of the complete scenario before and after work and a rigorous comparative analysis of possible alternatives. On the basis of appropriate technical, economic and eco-systemic indicators, the project manager will be able to define that particular solution with the project team that maximises the results of the useful life scenario of the work or, more generally, of the interventions programme under study. Appropriate mathematical functions are built in this work through the analysis of variables, useful for solving the problem, optimising the mobility-economy-environment trinomial. In addition, schedules are proposed to create green works to minimise infrastructure-territory impacts, built on the basis of an eco-phytosociological study. This tool is useful for integrating the infrastructure into the landscape and for fighting noise pollution due to operation. Finally, a specific econometric methodology of the negative effects generated by the flow of railway vehicles in the vast area was proposed, through the calculation of the loss of the economic value of the immovable property falling therein; this in order to internalise this deficit in the benefit-cost analysis for each alternative solution examined in the design phase.
